Wine & Dine Itineraries
Dine-A-Round
Combine award-winning international fare with a 17-block stretch of historic charm, and you have a memorable dine-a-round. Your group will be delighted with the vast selection of delectable cuisine and the authentic experience of strolling past historical architecture to their dining destination. The new free King Street Trolley will make it even more convenient for your group to get around Old Town. Contact the staff at the Alexandria Convention and Visitors Association to customize your dine-a-round.
Of Pubs & Patriots
A guide in 18th-century attire will greet your group at your hotel or location of your choice and escort you through the cobblestone streets to your first dining establishment. Enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in one of Alexandria's historic restaurants. Your guide will then lead you to yet another historic location for dinner and dessert, while telling tales of the famous American patriots and scoundrels that have stayed, played, shopped and dined in Alexandria though the years. Choose from any combination of these history-filled establishments: Union Street Public House, Bookbinders, Warehouse Bar & Grille, Gadsby's Tavern Restaurant, Il Porto, FishMarket and TheWharf.
Party Like its 1799
Be transported back in time to party like its 1799! Enjoy a dinner feast at Gadsby's Tavern, where George Washington's birthday was celebrated. Dine on Colonial-inspired regional cuisine, while being entertained by wait staff dressed in 18th-century attire. Dessert is presented in the museum's ballroom where you will enjoy 18th-century dancing and merriment, complete with musicians and your own private dance master.
Tankards and Tonics
Pick your poison! Depending on group size and interest, we can help you select any or all of the historic venues such as Gadsby's Tavern, Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum and the Carlyle House for the perfect mix that is sure to please any group. Enjoy a private guided tour of the selected venues as well as themed cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres.
A Grand Occasion at Mount Vernon
This elegant evening begins with a private candlelight tour of George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and dinner at the charming Mount Vernon Inn. You'll be whisked back in time as you enjoy the warmth and hospitality of your colonial hosts for an evening that will be a timeless memory.
Historic Pub Crawl
After business is done, what better way to unwind than with a Pub Crawl though the historic streets of Old Town Alexandria? With over 50 restaurants and pubs within a 15-block radius, there's something for everyone.
Toast the Ghosts
Follow our 18th-century costumed guides as they lead you by lantern light, sharing ghost stories, legends and folklore about colonial Alexandria. You will hear unsolved mysteries, tales of romance and stories of angry ghosts looking for revenge. After an hour-long tour, adjourn to one of our historic "haunted" venues for a ghostly cocktail reception.
Cruise the Potomac
Choose from an authentic paddle wheeler, Parisian-style riverboat or one of four smaller unique tour boats and host a Blues & Barbeque, Martini & Piano Bar or tropical Caribbean theme party. View the glistening monuments of our nation's capital while your group mixes and mingles.

A hands-on art appreciation experience that combines instruction, history and fun! Includes a combination of any or all of the following: a private tour of the Torpedo Factory Art Center; a private class in any of the fine arts at Alexandria's Art League; lunch, dinner or afternoon tea in a nearby gourmet restaurant; a walk through our city's finest galleries; a motorcoach tour of Alexandria's public art trail; or a walking tour of the renowned architecture of the Old Town historic district.
An American Musical Landscape
Enjoy a fun-filled show that takes you on a memorable musical "tour" of America presented by the area's best singers and musicians with multi-media effects and costumed historical greeters. This program is presented at the George Washington Masonic Memorial and can accommodate 400 guests. Dinner options are available.

This is a great team-building experience that can be tailored for your group. Fifteen clues lead you through a six-block radius of historic attractions, shops and restaurants. Take a picture, collect a clue or find an answer. By the end of the hunt, you will discover new-found skills such as leadership, creativity and teamwork.
